Making software fast on any processor
Born from research at ETH Zurich and RWTH Aachen. We saw performance engineers rewriting the same code for every new chip and decided to automate it.
Research roots
ETH Zurich + RWTH Aachen
Headquarters
Darmstadt, Germany
Founding team
Built by experts in compilers, HPC and systems engineering
Operating model
Lukas Truemper
Founder & CEO
Previously a PhD student at ETH Zurich working on AI-driven compiler research. Before that, he was at Huddly through their IPO and at Continental architecting performance for automotive software.
Adrian Schmitz
Founder & CTO
Specialized in GPU architectures and scalable HPC at RWTH Aachen. Published at leading HPC venues before joining as co-founder to build the compiler infrastructure behind Daisytuner.
Dr. Nora Hagmeyer
R&D Software Engineer
Holds a PhD in Computational Mechanics and dual MSc degrees from TU Munich. Brings deep expertise in CFD simulation and autotuning from research stints at Inria Grenoble and Strasbourg.
Ramon Wirsch
Compiler Engineer
MSc from TU Darmstadt in processor architectures and hardware acceleration. Worked on RISC-V prototypes and CGRA-based runtime acceleration before joining to target novel hardware at Daisytuner.
Moritz Timmer
Compiler Engineer
MSc with distinction from RWTH Aachen. His thesis on compile-time loop lifting for GPU tensor cores set the foundation for his work on compiler optimizations at Daisytuner.
Tal Ben-Nun, PhD
Scientific Advisor
Staff Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. ACM Gordon Bell Prize recipient working on ML-driven compilation and large-scale scientific computing.
How we work
Startup velocity, grounded in fast proofs
Cultural protocol
01
Concrete Over Conceptual
Every feature starts with a real-world example that proves its worth. If we can't show the "why" with a working demo, we don't build it yet.
02
Speed to Insight
We value the ugly demo over polished ghostware. Hard-coded values and zero UI to prove a concept today beats a perfect architecture next month.
03
High-Stakes Polish
We iterate fast on the problem, but once the value is proven, we commit to the last mile. We grind on the things that make the experience truly great.
04
Radical Agency
High-freedom, low-ego. Everyone has the autonomy to explore and the discipline to clear blockers immediately. We don't punish mistakes, we encourage progress.
05
Community-First Growth
Our strength lies in the ecosystem. We contribute to open source, speak at conferences, stay curious, and look for collaborators who are inspired by hard technical problems.
